Urban Oak No. 1
24” x 24” / original
Encaustic on wood panel
This piece is a blast from the past. Early in my art career I worked almost exclusively in encaustic (a wax medium that allows for beautiful translucent layers). While I don’t create new encaustic pieces, this lovely piece resurfaced after having spent several years at an art consultant’s office (I will confess that I forgot it was there!) While it may look different than my current work, I am still fond of it and would love to find it a proper home— preferably not in the back of a closet!
